The community by the Amphawa Canal in the district of Amphawa in Samut Songkram is one riverside community that continues to treasure its traditional identity, especially the architecture of the wooden shophouses by the banks of the canal and the simple way of life that is closely associated with the canal. Tourists can appreciate the community by walking the concrete path in front of those shophouses on both sides of the canal. Alternately, they can rent a long-tailed boat from one of the operators at the local jetty on a cruise down the canal community, to enjoy the scenic views of the Mae Khlong River and its small arteries, taking pauses to stop by the temples on the way.
