HuaLampong subway station


Display boards to the left tell the story of the Maha Nakhon subway from the start of drilling and constructing underground tunnels through to its completion. Information is also displayed regarding the arrival between 10 and 15 October 2003 of the first imported underground trains from Australia airlifted by an AN 124-100 Russian heavy transport aircraft that has the largest payload and the largest accessible dimensions of any production airplane in the world.On the wall to the right of the walkway, the exhibition highlights the development of transportation in Thailand from the ox cart to man-powered carts, horse-drawn carriages, automobiles, trains and, lastly, computer buses as we see today. Theexhibition includes information on the first elevated mass transit system in Thailand called the Bangkok Transport System (BTS), also referred to as the 'skytrain'.This permanent exhibition is displayed with attractively designed boards and is full of interesting information.
