KO NANGYUAN

Located in the northwest of Ko Tao, close to Ko Pa-ngan, in Surat Thani, Ko Nangyuan is far from the province's downtown approximately 110 kilometers, from Chumphon 74 kilometers and from Ko Samui 64 kilometers. The island consists of two small islands lying close to each other and linked by sand bar like a path, where offices and restaurants are located in the middle. As it is purely white and fine, foreigners love to use this bar for sunbathing.
Besides the two main islands, the island also features other three small islands linked to each other by white sand bars. When the low tide occurs, the connecting path would show up, opening the way to each other. Surrounded by a wide variety of coral formations, the island is an ideal diving and snorkeling spot.
On the island, there is a viewpoint standing on the top, which is so beautiful that it is worth climbing up. Being the second biggest point on the island, the spot owns the most fascinating scenery, overlooking the stretching white sand bar linking the two main islands. The sand bar lies in the middle of crystal clear emerald green sea as if the sea has separated, allowing it to pass through. What a wonderful view it is.To get there, besides a speed boat from Ko Tao, there are also high speed catamarans of Lomprayah High Speed Ferries Co (www.lomprayah.com) as well as long-tailed boats for rent available to Ko Nangyuan.
